Two venues in Liverpool have been named among the best Irish pubs in Britain.
With St. Patrick’s Day fast approaching, many will be looking for the perfect place to celebrate the holidays, and luckily for us, Liverpool has just the thing. UK coffee retailer coffee friend named the best Irish pubs in all of Britain – and two Liverpool pubs made the cut.
The retailer analyzed TripAdvisor reviews to compile the list, comparing the percentage of “excellent” reviews each property received against other options – very good, average, poor, terrible. Edinburgh pub Dropkick Murphys came out on top, but Liverpool were not far behind.

Of the popular Irish pub, Coffee Friend said: “Shenanigans is an independent Irish bar located in the town centre, offering a wide range of food and drink options to its punters while showing live sports, including GAA.”
Another Liverpool pub, Flanagan apple, was named ninth on the list, with an “excellent” rating percentage of 52%. The pub is based on Mathew Street in the town centre.
