Patriot One’s SmartGateway is said to discreetly search for guns, knives and other contraband without customers having to part with personal items.
TORONTO—Patriot One Technologies (OTCQX: PTOTF) announces that Central Bank Center has selected the company’s Gateway solution to secure entrances to Rupp Arena and Lexington Opera House, part of Central Bank Center located in Lexington, KY.
Venues will deploy Patriot One’s new SmartGateway solution and will be implemented in a phased approach, beginning with Lexington Opera House entrances and Rupp Arena VIP entrances, eventually covering both facilities in their entirety.
Both sites are managed by the OVG360 division of Oak View Group, which operates more than 330 entertainment venues across the United States.
“After working with Patriot One on several demonstrations and testing the technology at live events at the Rupp Center, we selected them as our customer security screening solution of choice to protect our large entertainment venues,” says Brian Sipe, managing director of the Central Bank Center. . “We used to use metal detectors to secure entrances and faced very long queues and angry crowds. This is not what we want for our valued customers when they come to an event at the Central Bank Center. We chose Patriot One to help us improve this customer experience with their next-generation security solutions and weapons detection capabilities.
Using artificial intelligence (AI)-powered sensors, Patriot One’s SmartGateway is supposed to discreetly search for firearms, knives and other contraband without customers having to part with their personal items. .
This technology is designed specifically for stadiums and other large venues that experience high throughput and allows unique flexibility to adapt and optimize for site-specific security needs, according to the company.
“SmartGateway is a perfect fit for Rupp Arena and Lexington Opera House, and we are honored to implement our solution in two of the hundreds of stadiums and venues in the OVG360 family,” said Peter Evans, CEO of Patriot One. “In this era of security personnel shortages and social unrest, physical security and weapons detection are more important than ever. We look forward to working with organizations like the Oak View Group and other NCAA sites as they evaluate safety systems in other locations across the country.
The Rupp Arena is home to the University of Kentucky Wildcats and seats more than 20,000 spectators, while the Lexington Opera House hosts touring Broadway shows, concerts and more with a 900-seat capacity.
