Are you a film student, graduate, or just passionate about creating movie magic? There are several categories for submission in the following categories: Best Irish Short Film, which will see the winning film distributed to eighty film clubs across Ireland, Best International Short Film, Best Irish Animation, Best International Animation and Awards offline audience.

This is an exciting event for film lovers and beginners interested in learning the practices involved in filmmaking, as the festival itself will host workshops given by industry professionals on all aspects of cinema and filmmaking.

The deadline for submitting applications is August 24 this year and successful applicants will be notified on September 9.

The festival will take place in October at the Birr Theater and Arts Center in Co. Offally.

Below are the terms and conditions for participants:

Acceptance of these rules implies that you will comply with them in your relations with the Festival and that you are legally authorized to submit this film for consideration.

All selected filmmakers are invited to OFFline as Festival guests (we provide accommodation and free transfers from Dublin Airport). All applications will be reviewed by the selection committee. The official Festival selection will be announced by the end of September 2022. Only successful participants will be notified by email. Details of selected films will also be displayed on our website. The Festival does not pay any fees for submitted work. The finalists will have their films screened during the Festival and on the final day, a grand prize winner in each category will be announced.
