Last call for entries for the Friday Harbor Film Festival
Presented by the Friday Harbor Film Festival.
The Friday Harbor Film Festival is now programming feature documentaries and short films that will be screened during the Livestream Festival from October 14 to 17 and the On-Demand Festival from October 18 to 24. While the FHFF has many great submissions, there is room for more. The deadline for submission is September 20.
If you are an independent filmmaker – professional, amateur or student – submit your feature film or short documentary for consideration at this year’s festival via FilmFreeway at www.fhff.org/director-series. Feature documentaries must be 40 minutes or longer. Short films must be less than 40 minutes long.
The Livestream Festival will offer live, real-time question-and-answer sessions with filmmakers after their films have been shown. The questions and answers will be recorded for viewing during the festival on demand. The festival will present films highlighting fascinating island cultures; marine ecology; heroic adventures; sustainable agriculture; social justice; current environmental issues; and moving stories of human interest.
The Audience Choice Awards will be presented on October 24 to the best feature films and short films in three categories: Tales from the Heart; Things to consider; and Explorers and Adventures.
Filmmakers, professionals and students alike, are encouraged to submit their feature films and shorts for review at FilmFreeway. All details are available on http://www.fhff.org/director-series.
