Feature film submissions now open for the 32nd Galway Film Fleadh


Entries for feature films are now open for the 32sd Galway Film Fleadh, taking place from 7e – 12e July 2020.

The Film Fleadh is Ireland’s premier film festival, the international discovery spot for new Irish cinema, and host to the Galway Film Fair, Ireland’s only film and television market.

2020 in Galway is full of promise. A new decade, the European Capital of Culture 2020 and the 32sd Film Fleadh will combine to make Galway the perfect platform to celebrate the most daring new works in cinema for audiences around the world.

Filmmakers with works in progress or completed works ready to debut in the New Year are encouraged to be the early submission process.

The Galway Film Fleadh rewards the feature films selected in competition in the following categories:

  • Irish debut feature
  • First international feature film
  • Irish movie
  • International films
  • Irish documentary
  • International Documentary
  • Cinematography in an Irish film

Winners of recent years include A bump along the way, For Sama, The Dig, Katie, Michael Inside, young offenders, Granite song, wild hunt, Song of the sea, among others.

Early bird registration deadline: Friday January 31, 2020 at 5 p.m. GMT

The early registration fee is at a reduced rate of € 30.

After the early booking deadline, the fee will increase to the regular price of € 40.

Usual deadline: Friday March 27, 2020 at 5 p.m. GMT

There will be a late deadline of Friday April 10, 2020, the fee of which is 50 €.
